Friends of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery

Friends of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery logo

The Friends of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is a voluntary organisation which supports the work of Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. It exists to promote and publicise the Museum and its activities to as wide a public as possible, and to raise funds to purchase new items for the Museum. It also encourages sponsorship for the improvement of collections and facilities.

Most recently, the Friends of Swindon MAG have lent their support to the development of our children’s school holiday workshops. The support received – both monetary and through volunteering – is invaluable and we thank them warmly for their generosity.

The organisation is a registered charity (Charity No 1050267) and was launched in 1993 with a talk by patron, Dr Desmond Morris, the surrealist painter and zoologist.

You can access up to date information about the Friends by going to their website or looking at their blog (hyper-link to blog).
